Two Malagasy Business Leaders attend U.S.-Africa Business Forum
ANTANANARIVO — Two prepresentatives of Madagascar’s Business Community are attending the U.S.-Africa Business Forum in New York today. Zouzar Bouka, the CEO of Vision Madagascar (ViMa) and Marcellin Andrianarivelo-Razafy, the Business Development Manager for Henri Fraise Fils & Cie are among the hundreds of attendees participating in the day long meeting with American Investors and African heads of state to discuss how to increase trade and investment between the United States and African nations.
At the 2014 U.S.-Africa Business Forum, nearly 50 heads of state or government and more than 150 global CEOs came together to discuss ways to develop solutions for greater trade and investment in Africa.Embassy Antananarivo is proud to note that the decision of Symbion Energy to invest in Madagascar, an investment that will bring more affordable power to Madagascar, was a result of the 2014 Forum. As President Obama said recently, “Africa’s progress will depend on unleashing economic growth — not just for the few at the top, but for the many, because an essential element of dignity is being able to live a decent life. That begins with a job. And that requires trade and investment.. ”
