Salama Tompoko
It’s a pleasure to be with you today, as we mark the end of a 2-week Human Resource Managemebt Workshop conducted by the U.S. Defense Security Cooperation Agency’s Institute for Security Governance (ISG). I thank the workshop managers, who traveled from the aunties States to conduct this training, as well as the ministries who enabled their staff to participate in it.
People are our most important resource.
We hope this program will contribute to further development of Madagascar’s maritime security strategy and promote inter-ministerial cooperation with your Navy. Strong leadership and advocacy by all of you will be critical to achieving these goals.
In particular, I thank the participants who actively engaged in the workshop these past two weeks. Your enthusiasm ensured the program’s success.
For decades, the United States and Madagascar have worked together side by side, like “Mpirahalahy Mianala,” to address a wide range of challenges including disaster response, health, food security, and defense cooperetion. We look forward to building upon that tradition of collaboration through programs like this one and other initiatives already underway.
Thank you and enjoy today’s event.
Misaotra betsaka tompoko.
Mazotoa.
