Congratulations to Mandresy Fenomanantsoa and José Makavelo for their selection for the Pan Africa Youth Leadership Program (PAYLP) Alumni All-Stars Program!  Funded by the U.S. Department of State Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and implemented by Meridian International Center, PAYLP engages youth from 38 African countries in U.S.-based cultural exchange and civic engagement training.  The PAYLP Alumni All-Stars program recognizes top performing alumni, each of whom spends two and a half weeks in the United States for intensive leadership training and development.

We celebrate Mandresy and José as the top performing alumni from Madagascar!  Their visit to the United States began with orientation in Washington, DC, followed by a two-week community leadership program in Burlington, Vermont.  There, they participated in leadership training, networking, volunteering, and cultural experiences.  As a capstone to the program, Mandresy and José will present their community action plans to program leaders and participants, after which they may apply for funding to implement their plans in Madagascar.
