That’s why the United States Government set up a global network of EducationUSA centers that provide prospective students with accurate, accessible, and objective information on options for studying at American universities.
For many foreign students the process of applying to an American university can seem confusing and complicated. The advisor at the Education USA Center will help you through the process. You will find the advisor an indispensible resource. They can assist with selecting the right schools, preparing your application, finding financial assistance for your studies, through to explaining what to expect when you arrive in the United States. The EducationUSA Center provides the following services:
Educational Advising Group Session: This is your entry point to the resources and services at the EducationUSA Center. It provides new visitors with a general overview of study in the United States and how to make the most out of the center’s reference library and services.
Individual advising: These one-on-one sessions provide tailored advice and assistance to students. They can be set up after attending a group session.
Outreach programs: Schools, universities, professional institutions, and local groups can benefit from a special advising designed for their needs. To set up one of these sessions, please coordinate with the EducationUSA advisor
Standardized Testing: EducationUSA has a collection of all TOEFL, SAT, GRE and GMAT prep handbooks for advisees to read on site to help them prepare for the test. Information related to registration for these tests is also available at the center.
Reference library: An updated collection of reference materials is available for on-site consultation. The collection include books on how to choose a university, how to get money for schools, how to write a winning admission essay, and others relevant books on the experience of studying in the United States.
Weekly Facebook chat: Every Wednesday, the EducationUSA holds a Facebook chat on the US Embassy’s Facebook page from 2:00 to 3:00PM local time. This is an opportunity for all interested student to connect with us live and ask any question related to study in the United States. The Facebook chat usually opens with an introductory posting on a timely issue. Questions can be posed in Malagasy, English, or French.
2018 FULBRIGHT FOREIGN STUDENT PROGRAM
The American Embassy is pleased to offer an award for full-time study towards a degree at an academic institution in the United States for 2018-2019. Fulbright funding is limited to TWO years.
