Information Resources Center (IRC)

The Information Resource Center (IRC)  at the U.S. Embassy in Antananarivo is open to the public Monday – Thursday from 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., and on Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.  The IRC is the U.S. Embassy’s most effective tool for communicating U.S. policy and introducing foreign populations to American history, government, society, and values.  It exemplifies the U.S. commitment to free access to information.

The IRC is a modern lending library providing the public with free access to the Internet and many other resources such as computers, iPads, Kindles, and EducationUSA advising materials for those who aim to study in the U.S.  Prospective IRC members can fill out a simple online application or come to the Embassy to apply for library membership.  Membership not only grants you free access to the IRC, but also allows you to freely access the many resources available online at eLibrary USA from anywhere with an internet connection.

If you would like the IRC to make a presentation for your group or institution, please contact us by phone at 20-23-480-00 or by email at ircantananarivo@state.gov.
