Ambassador Claire Pierangelo, accompanied by Deputy chief of Mission Stephanie Arnold and Regional Security Officer Richard Hays, met Minister of Public Security Fanomezantsoa Randrianarison today to discuss security cooperation between the two countries. They reviewed existing bilateral cooperation efforts, including exchange programs and capacity building for Malagasy police and U.S. support for Madagascar’s participation in the Department of State’s International Law Enforcement Academies (ILEA) to confront transnational criminal threats.
